First launched in 2008 as New Jersey’s Top Ten Beaches, the annual contest was created to celebrate the communities, culture, and natural beauty that make the Jersey Shore so special. Following Hurricane Sandy, the program evolved into Favorite Beaches, recognizing and highlighting the resilience, diversity, and appeal of beaches all along New Jersey’s coastline—from beloved family destinations to hidden coastal treasures.

New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium will announce the winners in mid-July. Until then, every vote counts.
